My name is Alphonso and I am an orange tabby male so I am
a sweetie. My cat Momma, Hannah, showed up in late March, 2010. Momma
and Daddy were worried about her because she looked so young and was
getting fatter everyday. They trapped her on April 10. They took her
to the vet the next week and Dr. Groberg said she was going to have
kittens at any day.
I was born April 19, on KJ’s birthday. I was originally
named Alpha because I looked like the oldest and Momma and Daddy were
not going to keep me originally and they did not want to get too
emotionally attached. My eyes were the first to open but I was the last
one to start eating the wet kitten food.
When Momma and Daddy went to Miami for Daddy’s eye
appointment, we went to the vet to be boarded. The plan was to leave us
kittens and bring Momma Hannah home but I had a heart murmur so I came
home, too. Dr. Diane thought it would not be a good idea for me to be
adopted out because she did not know if the heart murmur would get
worse. My name was changed to Alphonso because it is a good Italian
name.
When I went for my second round of vaccines, Dr. Diane
said the heart murmur is still there but only when my heart rate goes
up. I think I will out grow it.
I am a big baby and I love to be held. I am also a
Daddy’s boy. I am noisy and will cry for my Daddy.
I like it here and Momma thinks I will be the Alpha Male
some day. I hope to be as big as KJ and Giuseppe, whom I love to hang
out with.
